I wanted to make the joke with “Guy” and guy and explain a bit about where the term comes from YAAAY
I think it’s interesting how “those guys” has evolved from purely male to primarily male, but can be gender neutral, like “ils” it’s like, “Hey guys!” is pretty neutral but “those guys over there” is pretty masculine and “that guy is fuckin ripped” is entirely male. Dude is also a weird word, not just in history but in similar use. Except fairly more casual my dudes.
